Guys… I don’t want to get my hopes up but I’m getting my hopes up!!!
I was doing my thing and watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine, as one does, when @comeoncomeout41 messages me, freaking out about something… She sent me this:
And immediately I knew why she was freaking out. Odette Annable!
Odette was only signed on for one season on Supergirl but we all know contracts can be extended if the actors so wish. But what got our hopes crushed was all the other news we were getting, including Odette and her husband, Dave Annable, buying a house in LA and her husband having been cast on a show that would be filming in LA and with them having a small daughter the obvious move was for Odette to go back to LA because both of them being part of a main cast and shooting in different countries, it would be hard for anyone to deal.
This sounds really bad that @comeoncomeout41 and I were happy to find out that Dave’s role was recast, because we seriously want him to have all the success in the world but we are also selfish and we want Odette on Supergirl. So this news kinda brought on a lot of hope.
Dave is no longer tied to a main role on a show filming in LA, we know that the likelihood of Sam being killed off is very slim at this point because of how fans grew so attached to the character.
Now, we know that the finale had already been shot when Dave lost his role but the writing for season 4 has not yet begun and if Odette shows interest in continuing on the show, I’m sure they would take her back.
Anyway, I’m writing this post in hopes that some of you talk me down from getting my hopes up because I am freaking the fuck out and I know I am most likely gonna get my heart crushed BUT THERE’S HOPEEEEE!!!!
Odette may seriously come back for season 4!!!!!!!! AND AGENT REIGN MAY EVEN BECOME CANON!!!
I saw this pic awhile ago but didn’t even think about it but today I noticed something…
In the pictures shown, there are 3 people who play “two” characters - Melissa, Odette and Krys…
Both Melissa and Krys have both of their characters written in the headshot. Melissa has Kara Danvers/Supergirl and Krys has Julia/Purity.
Odette however only has Samantha Arias…
The number of this episode is hidden but this either means that Sam is completely cured by the time of this episode or that we will have at least one episode where Reign isn’t in it.
I sure hope it means that Sam is cured by then though.
I have a favor to ask… If you go to ClexaCon can you please ask Chyler about Agent Reign?
We already know what Odette thinks and I really want to hear Chyler talk about it.
I don’t know how I’m already so attached to Sam???
It never happens this fast but I’m already ride or die for Samantha Arias.
I’ve never seen better casting… Odette playing Reign is the best choice ever for the simple fact that I haven’t even seen her interpretation of the character yet and she is already reigning my heart.
Why is no one freaking out that this is the actress that will be playing Reign on Supergirl????

I like Reign’s suit but it’s so monotone? It could have done with either a bit of silver or gold to highlight some parts of the suit.
